I've never seen a B12 oral supplement without some kind or filler or bulking agent. Otherwise the capsule would look almost empty, micrograms are a tiny tiny amount. 1000 micrograms is only 0.001 grams. You physically could not pick up a tablet with only this content without something to bulk it up to the point where it could be conveniently handled without a magnifying glass.

Best to look for something with the safest filler/bulking agent.

Have a look at British Supplements Davina70, I take a 1300ug pure clean b12 supplement daily from them in between my weekly shot and so far so good I’m having no adverse effects, have a google they are excellent very easy to swallow capsule size too.

This companys page on the product is a good example of preying upon the somewhat overblown fears of fillers and bulking agents from alternative medicine.

british-supplements.net/pro...

They state that the product contains no fillers or bulking agents but later on say that they do use MSM to fill the capsule. But this IS what a bulking agent is - its something you use to fill a capsule when the active ingredient is so tiny. In my opinion its somewhat deceptive marketing to state that no bulking agent is used when clearly it is... it HAS to be used.

A good page on bulking agents:

That page manages the ridiculous!

However, if you are lactose intolerant, you may not be allowed to consume it and the pharmaceutical industry has an alternative. You can use tablets having one or the other of these bulking agents.,

Anhydrous lactose

Obviously an oversight.

Over on thyroid, we are continually discussing these issues. The active ingredient in a levothyroxine or liothyronine tablet approximates to one crystal of ordinary sugar. Totally unmanageable!

Could have a look here at my attempt:
