low folate. elevated liver enzymes

hello!

this is a bit long winded so I’ll try and keep it brief….

About a month ago I was bitten by a spider in my sleep. I thought no more of it, then three days later the bites came up very swollen and I felt strange- kind of dizzy and almost drunk.

Coincidentally about two weeks later I had a blood test done via medichecks which came back with low folate levels and an elevated liver enzyme.

I’m wondering if the spider bite is linked to the liver enzyme levels? Or could it be the low folates and the spider bite was just a strange coincidence?

I had been eating a restrictive carnivore diet and I’ve since changed and am taking folate supplement.

I’m also going to the doctor tomorrow to have bloods done there and explain all this to them.

I just want sure if my strange drunken/light headed type feeling was something common with low folate?

My daughter had distinct low folate symptoms Sore mouth

Burnt feeling in mouth

Mouth ulcers

Metallic horrid taste

Did have light headed,going like but not sure if that was low folate or a combination if things.

Can be autonomic system affected through b12/ folate / iron deficiency

She has 10 weekly b12 injections but needs daily folic acid otherwise above symotoms return.
