Hi , new member , suffering from pernicious anemia and diagnosed with cirrhosis , yes im a drinker , been self injecting for a month now and taking folic acid , my stomach and bowls are going bonkers today , burping and gurgling , and a new found a massive energy boost , is it part of the reversal of being B12 deficient.

Great you got a big energy boost.. Not everyone gets that!!

I the initial stages it's common to get weird symptoms as the b12 is healing reaching starved cells .

I think initially speeds up metabolism too.

I got alot worse before any improvements l

I remember I felt marvellous after my first three loading doses then it stopped and the healing started ,although I didn’t know that at the time,I just assumed it wasn’t working. I read as much as I could from the members posts here and everything they said was spot on and now 3 years on I’m self injecting the correct amount for me and so grateful to have people who understand what w3 are going through and guide us when we need help..stick with it you’ll have your ups and downs so just post when you think you need support and you’ll get it in droves..keep up the good work and take care ..
