In the meantime, I've been SI-ing B12 EOD and also taking gentle iron. Kind of have some answers of my own already though, as I'm already feeling TONS better in 3 weeks than I have in 6 months! My brain is finally working again for one thing!
I'm looking for a multivitamin to support my regime. I don't want one containing iron, as anything other than gentle iron seems to upset my tummy.
I've found a few without iron, but the dosages seem to be way above RDA recs, so I wondered what your thoughts were on this.
Also, any recommendations for what brand, etc.

Thank you Nackapan . I've been doing OK with Solgar gentle iron 20mg a day. I've had a FBC and iron/TIBC/Ferritin with this blood test, so I'll adjust my dose accordingly when I get the results. If I need to reduce the dose, I'll look at the Spartone, thank you.

At the time these were the only iron free multivitamins I could find, they used to be called Multi-guard iron free but recently changed name to Multi-guard 70+ but still iron free.
Hi - noticed you also post on Thyroid UK. I expect you have read there that a multi-vit is not always a good idea. Sometimes cheaper ingredients and fillers.
Better to test and supplement where needed. As you are injecting B12 taking a GOOD B Complex will keep all the B's in balance.
Ensure you take iron well away from Levo and other supplements. VitC aids iron absorption.
VitD ? Do you know your level ? Around 100 is good. Dose based on results.

Thanks for replying Marz . Yes, I've also posted on Thyroid UK forum to check out my thyroid test results, although it appears these are negative for Thyroid issues and I don't have any thyroid medication.
I recall posts advising against cheaper multivits, although I must confess that just served to confuse me further! (Easily done tbh! π)
I've always struggled to raise my vit D, even in summer, so I'm taking 3000 iu per day with vit K.
I'll check out SeasideSusie's posts re: brand advice, so thanks again for pointing me back in that direction. π
VitD is fat soluble so best taken with food containing good fats. I take Dr's Best - a capsule containing olive oil ! Job done ! Magnesium also helps VitD to metabolise.

I think Centrum or SevenSeas have some decent multis that cover most things in RDA doses, which is safest. More D needed though probably this time of year.
