I have diagnosed PA and also high serum osmolality. It was tested to check for diabetes insipidis. Anyone else have this high serum osmolality and PA? Thankyou

Is there a connection between PA and high serum osmolality?
in 9 years of being on this forum more or less daily , I’ve never heard high osmolality mentioned . Sorry -that’s not very helpful is it ?
This would not usually be a problem as the body self regulates by producing more or less urine and by making us thirsty so we drink more fluids. Its important not to use much salt and to ensure enough potassium is taken - a small banana a day is wise.
Thankyou Bellabab. I’d been a little concerned because since I’d had complex cardiac surgery two year ago on top of everything , my kidney function had been dropping a bit and I was thinking me self injecting was causing my kidneys to work a bit harder peeing all the excess B12 out and it was this that was doing it. My eGFR was 62 this month
Did they diagnose you with Diabetes Insipidis? I know what it is but it is fascinating to me. I've never met anyone with it.
