I’m sure that stress depletes B12 . I don’t experience jaw clenching . But we are all different .

Try to get 2 monthly injections . Or try sub lingual lozenges or spray - Some but not all can benefit . A last resort could be self-injecting.

In my experience, yes. Perhaps some relaxation to release your jaw.

I suspect stress does have a role in B12, but not seen any studies/research about it.

I think I have tightness in my jaw too - didn’t realise until a dentists visit when they mentioned I had very strong jaw muscles, and queried did I clench my teeth a lot.

I have had to sometimes SI every day to counteract stress. Also resort to anxiety med.for a few days to relax jaw and other muscles.

What fun we do have 🥴

Definately without a doubt

hey!! now that you mention it. I also do experience jaw tightness, I really did not associate it with B12 deficiency🙄, this group so helpful. Had I known would have long attended to it.

I started clenching my jaw around the time I had my loading dose, but I very definitely linked it to my negligent and gaslighting GP. I found out quite recently that's he's left the practice now and I'm not clenching! My dentist was threatening to make me a guard for use at night.I used some therapeutic techniques to help, which weren't a total success but did improve things.

Yes my symptoms intensify when stressed. I key in on my jaw pain as a 'tell'. If I do not release the stress than it becomes teeth hurting not related to dental pain.

I have found that the stress of having a good time with family or friends also called eustress also causes symptoms to intensify.

I I working on the concept that if symptoms are intensifying than it is not that my B12 is depleted rather by body does not have enough B12 or in my case either B12 or B6. Allowing it may also be that when stressed my neurological can now heal and that the symptoms intensifying is caused by healing,

Figuring out this all is like trying to solve a rubix cube when some of the colors are missing. 🙃

Yes.I still get jaw and skull tightness and pain.

I sometimes have to click mb jaw ax dk tight.

I'm not sure why.

Putting your tongue on the roof of your mouth relaxes your jaw.

Pysio taught me that.

Also to Maggie firmly whole head.

Probably seems from tight neck muscles ??

Neurologist mentions right 'nuchal ' muscles contracting giving me headaches .

I think stress does deplete b12 as speeds up your metabolism

Stress definitely depletes B12 and more B12 is needed during stressful times. Nerves have to work harder if you're in constant fight or flight mode. It's literally 'using up' your B12 reserves.

So if you're deficient, you don't really have much in reserve. Any stress, even environmental stress from weather changes, will put lots more pressure on a stretched system. While you can take in more B12, you really need to avoid stress until you get the B12 into your cells.

I also have had strange jaw symptoms, especially where it feels like one side is almost dislocating. It's all linked to the nerves, spinal cord and brain, right, so I suspect it should heal up in time. Mine is certainly better.

maybe we hold tension in different places. While I don't get jaw tightness my pectorals tighten when I get low. It's one of the first things I notice. Then when I do more frequent doses it goes away. I still hold tension but I don't have constant tightness. It's as if my muscles now have the ability to be normal or relax some despite me holding tension there.
