Co factor advise 39 year old female.

Hey all, can anyone please advise on the important co factors to go along with b12 supplementation for a deficiency level of 149. Many thanks

The main thing is to treat whats found.Folate keveks are usually tested at tge same time as b12.

If needed supplement after b12 treatment.

All menstruating wombats advised bt the NHS to take 400mcg daily.

If you choose to have a standard multivit that has 200-400 mcg folic acid.

High doses are only prescribed if deficient by a blood test.

Short term only . Then retested and stopped or a maintenence found.

Vit D often is found low.

Also iron/ ferritin csn be.

Depends if the b12 deficiency is an absorbtion problem or deficiency caused by a medication or diet lacking in it I.e vegan.

That of course can be reversed as any otalb12 will be absorbed

It's a minefield.

Less is more most if the time .

Apart from b12 of courseax you can't overdose.
