Exercise leading to needing more B12

Hi all. I've been very well, and had settled to a fortnightly SI. I've worked myself up to leading a reasonably active life, but decided to take things to the next level and have upped my exercise, although not significantly. I just need to get fitter. The upshot has been that I've had to up my SI to weekly. Has anyone found that once their body gets used to the new 'routine' that the need for the B12 has reduced again?

A couple of years ago, I experienced a few months when my body seemed to need less, but then things escalated and I was back to fortnightly. It just seems so wierd.

I do one shot a month, I am not sure that more exercise requires more B12, rather that doing more exercise makes us more tired, and therefore feeling like we need more B12. Whatever, B12 definitely helps many with chronic fatigue type conditions.

Interestingly I'm not more tired. It's my personal warning signs that present. In my case struggling with word finding, mood, restless legs... All of which are dealt with by B12 injection before other symptoms start....

Yes, I had this same experience too. My neurologist initially placed me on weekly injections which helped tremendously. I did them weekly for five months and started feeling better. (I didn't realize how terrible I felt until I started feeling better!) Once I finally had the energy to workout, do more, and return to my previously active lifestyle I noticed many of symptoms returning. My energy was still good but the neuropathy and brain fog was creeping back. My neurologist suggested increasing my B12 injection frequency and that helped a lot! I have been on injections every three days for almost a year and I can exercise and be more active.

That's really interesting. Managing this is like a balancing act isn't it 😉
