It’s an unusually high dose . I really don’t know if 5 mg is a useful dose . We usually use 1mg dose, because there’s a limit to what can be absorbed from one injection Unabsorbed B12 is eliminated in urine .

I wondered if it was possible to use a vial in increments and perhaps keep it in the fridge. It could work out cost effective especially if people are struggling to get hold of it but I don't know if this is a good brand etc.
That is not advisable I’m afraid . There is always a possibility of contamination if any B12 solution is kept for later use , no matter how careful you are . . Single use ampoules are the only safe option .
I recently started using a 30 dosage vial that I ordered from a trusted source in Canada (I'm in the U.S). The pharmacist explained that it's made to automatically reseal after each puncture/withdrawal. You don't think that's safe? 😔
