Hi,

Does anyone own or have read The B12 deficiency survival handbook?

Is it worth buying?

I know that there is a wealth of knowledge in this forum and on other websites but thought might be an interesting read and good to have detailed information at hand.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Adsypadsy. Dr Chandys b12 book is a good read,it can be ordered on Amazon,I think they do an on demand order and print system rather than the usual ready done books if I remember correctly.best wishes.

Hi Happy, there was a used copy on World of books listed as very good condition, £3.79 and free postage so I just bought it.

Thank you for your reply.

Best of luck

I read it a long time ago but since then, although all v. informative, my top choices for quite different reasons would be :

“Could it be B12”, by Sally Pacholok & Dr Geoffrey Stuart, (paediatric version also available)

“Vitamin B12 Deficiency in Clinical Practice”, by Dr Joseph Chandy (an NHS doctor for thirty years until his retirement.

All three of Martyn Hooper’s books

“Vitamin B12 Deficiency and Chronic Illness”, by Mike Newman & Karen Thompson

Films and videos also available on Tracey Witty’s old website :

Hi Polaris,

I've just received the “Vitamin B12 Deficiency in Clinical Practice”, by Dr Joseph Chandy a couple of days ago and was looking for other useful books, the Sally Pacholok book is another I've been considering.

I came across the B12 deficiency survival handbook and the title caught my attention.

I've just finished reading through it, and I think it's got a lot of good information. Look for a used copy to save a couple bucks.
