Year on year I have had increasing ANA titres, and now I have a result of 1:5120! However, my AC.anti-DFS70 is greater than 318U/ml.
Have I understood correctly, that the anti-DFS70 result indicates that I do not have an autoimmune disease, despite this extremely high ANA result? If so, any clues as to what could be happening?
Thank you so much for any insights

ANA is known to cross-react with other antibodies, such as thyroid or rheumatoid arthritis. Have you had thyroid antibodies tested? If you scroll down under the table in the Sensitivity section of the entry for ANA in wikipedia, you can see some references to other antibodies that ANA reacts with. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antin...
I had not heard of anti-DFS70 so I had to google it. Here's a recent paper. It seems that it does in most cases seem to exclude "ANA associated rheumatic diseases" such as Lupus and Sjogren's, but it's also not clear whether it might be associated with some other clinical condition. tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10....
Here is some info explaining both the test and relative interpretation. You may want to skip to the summary and read that first. If that doesn’t tell you what you want to know or give you a clue so you have good questions for your doctor on Thursday, go ahead and read it all. Hope it helps.✨
Thank you very much D, it does all confirm there doesn't seem to be anything to be worried about, but it's just the ANA is so high, as high they can measure.
