NAD injections? What if anything can this so for PA?

Someone sent me info on NAD injections and how it can restore nerves and brain fog and all sorts of symptoms we experience with b12d, but doesn't claim to help PA or b12d. Does anyone know more about this? Online info is confusing too me. We make NAD. But it declines as we age. So injecting it is supposed to help dementia and it is used in Parkinsons treatment as well as alcohol abuse. Can this help us? I never heard of it.

Thank you. Exactly what i found. A friend sent me a link and it claimed to help many symptoms we have, so i was curious. It is expensive though and it has some side effects. I happy with my B12. But just curious.

Brad covers these briefly in a video from 2020 : youtube.com/watch?v=iVVUw2dZYBk&t=454 (copy and paste the link). Beware that it is a 2020 video and he learned a bit more about NMN and Niacin later on so that particular info is a bit outdated.

But overall I think evidence for the effectiveness of NAD therapy is lacking : sciencebasedmedicine.org/na...

Thanks Technoid. I don't think this is something i would do. The ad that runs before the video is for Metformin. One of the very things that can lead to PA. I was just curious. I don't think it's for me. It kind of came across like a miracle injection, like B12 is to us. But it never mentioned b12 in any info I've read.

yes... Brad is way too enthusiastic about Metformin. Sadly :(

For others reading the thread, I think NAD stands for Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide.

This is the site that was sent to me. It claims to be an autoimmune site with different meds. They do have methyl b12. It's is expensive. But i don't see information about needing a prescription. And I'm still looking for location Info.

I have an update on this company. I called them. I asked them why they can sell B12 injections without a prescription. They said, they have a license for Life Longevity, not for medical conditions. As long as B12 is marketed as a life longevity or beauty aid and not tied to any medical condition, they are allowed to sell a certain amount without a prescription. she said it would be $7.50per 1ml dose or 1000mcg. I believe they said they can prescribe 48 ml per 90 days and that if I injected daily I would be 32 days short. or something close to that. But that is still a lot of methyl without a prescription. But most important, the reason they can distribute it in larger quantities is because it is marketed under a different category. and they can not deal with insurance because insurance requires a different medical code and they don't qualify under their category for that code and it would limit the amount of B12 they can sell. so they skirt around the b12 limits by going under a different category. They also have their own lab and scientists, and a team of doctors. The secret is they market for life longevity and health not medical. So anything to do with that they can sell without a prescription or write their own, but they have limits as stated above. But their limits are higher than doctors limit and knowledge. I found this interesting. They do not ship to the UK.
