Although I live in the US, I watch mostly British TV. I find it to be much more thoughtful and interesting than most American television, and it's easy to access most programs with binary Usenet access. I recently watched an ITV "Tonight" episode on "hidden" disabilities, and the added burden of dealing with something which limits you greatly, but isn't obvious to the casual observer. You know, LIKE PA! Very well done: itv.com/hub/tonight/1a2803a...

I’m also from the US and I also love British TV. I love British humor and also the slower pace of some of the shows. I like the GBBO and taskmaster and Still Game and all that. And many British documentaries I’ve seen are incredibly well done. I’m always happy to hear recommendations. I love that hidden disabilities are highlighted in that program. It’s so important because many go through life unaware of the struggles that some of us have.
Thanks for the reply. A couple of my favs are "Bargain Hunt" & "Antiques Road Trip" (note that's road TRIP, not road SHOW ) A real favorite is the unedited, extended version of "Have I Got News for You." Speaking of news/politics, a prime source of reporting for me is the online version of the 200 + year old newspaper "The Guardian." Their US version is at theguardian.com/us. Great source of global, progressive news & reporting. They also offer some really terrific, easily downloadable podcasts on just about every subject imaginable. Love listening to them when I'm out on a walk!
