I’ve been diagnosed and on medication ( B12) for a few years now. Usually ok, but tired when jab is due. Lately I get a burning sensation in my left lower leg .. it’s not painful and doesn’t get red or anything just kind of there sporadically. Anyone else have this ? Or know if it’s related to PA?

Lower leg burning sensation
That was an earlier symptom fir me that did go with enough b12 injections .It seems a lottery what symptoms stay or appear.
No rhyme or reason.
If you've managed on a certain regime and didn't get symptoms before injection due .
You may be fighting something off.
Or may need more injections?

Hello. I’ve been on monthly B12 injections for three years now after a diagnosis of PA. I also get the same sensation in both shin areas which comes for a short time then goes away for ages and then I have an odd day or so when it returns. Again no rhyme or reason why. I have noticed though that it does seem to return when I’m not as active as usual and sitting around too much.
I had this quite a lot in the early days of my treatment. It felt like a “Chinese burn”, if that’s something you remember? Children used to do this to each other at school for fun! Usually on the arms, by holding the arm with both hands and applying a twist in opposite directions. It left a burning tingling sensation. My sensation of burning lessened once my injection frequency was increased.
Hi,
My legs were numb when I started my B12 and when this resolved my legs started burning. This turned out to be thiamine deficiency that occurs when you can't methylate folate which then binds to thiamine taking out both. I can't absorb normal thiamine, I found allithiamine best for me as it's more easily absorbed and used by the body. My legs were on fire all the time.
Hope this helps. x
