Hamayeshguy,

Try and get hold of hand splints.

Hi it took about 8 months after my injections started. I very rarely get it now

Yes, I only use them occasionally when I need more Injections, but splints do help at night to prevent numbness, it might just help him. Nothing worse than losing sleep.

It's not just hands all of my back up to neck get numbness within two hours after sleep and I start to sweat and wakeup. Then I have to walk for hours in order to get back sleep but this numbness takes long time to get disappear. It's getting improved my bad symptoms started with cyanocobalamin injection but not switched to hydroxocobalamin and taking high dose of methylcobalamine timed release. It's helping to gain my muscles strength and improving numbness but still I can't sleep more than two hours. It causes severe stress. Couple of months ago my symptoms was so mild but I started to exercise and injection of cyanocobalamin then my symptoms developed so fast and I couldn't tolerate pain weakness and numbness, then started to take iron, methylcobalamine time release and active b complex then my symptoms started to get abated and improved. But still long way to go. I think pills are more effective in my case or those exercises execerbated symptoms but I hope this hand and back numbness get improved then at least I can have proper sleeping. I need some kind of bed that my weight doesn't put pressure non my hands I think but I don't know how

My main symptom that prompted a b12 test was having pins and needles in both hands in bed every morning. I SI'd every two days for about six months and the pins and needles stopped and now I inject every month. Everyone is different but I recommend you get injections every two days until the numbing stops. This follows nhs guidelines so make sure your gp is up to date. Remind your gp that the numbing is a neurologic symptom and should be taken very seriously. You can ask/insist on a neurology referral.

For me, the biggest helpers were allithamine and berberine. Benfotamine is also proven to help too but it works better for brain fog than neuropathy, in my experience.

I recently stopped taking allithamine for a month to see exactly what effect it has and it's both blatant and noticeable.

I had numbness and aching down both arms that felt like it came from pressure in my armpit and it bothered me most at night. After they gave me gas and anaesthetics at the Hospital it was much worse. I had to take injections of B12 hydroxocobalamin every couple of days for a while then spaced it out, but if I leave it more than 2 weeks for a few times it starts coming back. I think oral supplements might not get you results quickly enough and may risk further deterioration.

I inject hydroxocobalamin every couple of days too but the reason my symptoms developed so fast and started my hand and back and neck numbness was stopping of taking slow release pills of b12 which I feel its effective in my case, but I'm looking for another way and if it happens to be successful then I'll let others to know. Hopefully last night by using some arm protective gear I slept without much numbness in my arms, back and neck last night.
