How often can you take 2ml hervert?

Anyone use 2ml hervert?

I know you need the full dose to work but is it safe to inject at a regular frequency?

Cheers

Yes , it’s absolutely safe to inject as regularly as you need to keep your symptoms at bay . It has the same dosage as the other popular 1mg ampoule that many members on this forum use — , namely Panpharma .

Thanks!

I tend to inject in the deltoids, upper arms.

So you think it'll be fine for EOD use..?

Yes, certainly . There is no reason for it not to be . But i would use other injection areas as well as the arm because you are injecting so often . I find that the Vastus Lateralis , which is closest to the surface at the middle outer third of the thigh , alternating legs , is a good choice. Look this area up on the internet . Best wishes .

wedgewood and all - for clarification please note - no more than 1ml of fluid should be injected in the deltoid muscle (upper arm). Here's some information about appropriate fluid volume per injection site:

Table 1. Injectable volumes per site in adults

Site - Maximum volume:

Ventrogluteal (recommended) 2.5ml

Vastus lateralis (recommended) 5ml

Deltoid 1ml

Rectus femoris 5ml

Dorsogluteal (not recommended) 4ml

Please Note: Injection

Extracted from Nursing Times, which contain further information about safe IM injection techniques and details relating to the potential dangers of exceeding maximum volume recommendations and unsafe injection techniques, plus a diagram of muscle locations in the body (same source as above):

I concur with wedgewood. Totally fine for EOD. I personally use B12 Depot Hevert, 2 ml. I inject from twice a day to twice a week and have for years with no problems.

I agree about alternating sites. I mostly inject in the Vastus Lateralis, but I also inject in the calf and upper hip.

Hi Firefly,

I bought helvert 2 ml last December as Brexit/shipping stuff.

I inject on symptoms which is mostly EOD. I was injecting IM in my thigh but only in left (my right side far too sensitive) so now s.c. In stomach.

Best wishes

There are several people using it twice a day to good effect and hundreds using it daily.

All - please note: following a report received by Admin, in the interest of safeguarding members, please can we point out that that injecting 2ml of fluid into any muscle on a daily (or very frequent) basis can greatly increase the risk of adverse reactions to IM injections (details of potential complications are outlined in the document at the link below).

If you inject frequently (or indeed do your own injections), in the interests of safety, please can you take a moment to read the attached guidelines:

Thanks all x
