After taking iron pills for couple of days my muscle pains improved but now I have extreme muscle weakness and when I stand on my feet I feel too much pressure on my muscles and feeling getting crushed and sweat alot. But I had a little bit improvement after taking iron pills in last six days. Can it be iron deficiency or fibromyalgia? I'm just wondering what is that? Now fir almost eleven days stopped my injection in order to buildup my iron for a while. I had fast improvement but my muscle strength still so low. I have no idea what's wrong and what I have to do? My feritin last time almost twenty days ago was 34 but I had severe muscle pain weakness and fatigue. Now improved alot almost pain is so low but weakness fluctuate. I was good yesterday morning was just mild fatigue but since last night I'm terrible again but no pain just extreme weakness band fatigue.

Can extreme muscle weakness be symptoms of B12 deficiency or just mild tiredness is symptom of B12 deficiency?
Have you ruled out also being deficient in something like B1 as well as B12? It would explain the weakness.
And if you're taking iron supplements, why stop taking the b12?
I'm taking b complex everyday and also taking B12 pills time released and sublingual. The reason I have stopped injection is worsening my symptoms. After taking iron pills my muscle pain stops in half an hour and I can stand in my feet and walk again. I have no idea what's that but it's symptoms are not tolerable that's why I take iron pills three times a day, but I think may I reduce it in the next couple of days, but I didn't know how come it's possible iron pill helps my muscles right away after taking that. Its really scares me. Today I'm going to see my GP but yesterday I asked another doctor he told me I can take two pills a day for two months then I have to test for feritin. But I'm taking three otherwise muscle pain and severe numbness and extreme fatigue band severe weakness is out of any level of pain it's like dying. It's like I'm melting down. Thanks to God at least this iron pills help me. Even pain killers don't help at all. This pain is intolerable
Hi Hamayeshguy,
I am really sorry the short answer is I don’t know but in my very limited personal experience, some pointers.
You’ve a diagnosis of fibromyalgia as well. It’s hard to establish if someone has PA or functional vitamin B12 deficiency so whether it’s autoimmune or caused by PPI, SIBO.
As someone who used to be super sporty, so not qualified in any way shape or form, muscle action requires calcium and magnesium as well. But there’s so many other micronutrients required to keep the body in fine check. So, talking to a doctor, even a dietician maybe the way forward.
Good luck
Probably, a friend of mine is psychiatrist told me it's look like other autoimmune disease is involved. Let's see what other doctors diagnose. All of my blood work is normal and Everytime I go hospital they do blood work and den me home while I was crying. Today I was much better and I think the rest is due to B12 deficiency but I'm not sure because I still feel weakness and sweat alot while walking but it was better than before. I'm just wondering how is the real symptoms of B12 deficiency. Is that just mild fatigue and numbness in hands and vertigo or something else is also is felt. Does it cause muscle pain?
I have had muscle weakness and tightness. The tightness was in my shoulders and pecs.
