Confused about frequency and symptoms

Hi, I have P.A. and I have been injecting b12 every other day for a while now. This has caused many of my symptoms to improve. I would like to reduce the frequency to one syringe a week but as soon as two days go by I feel very depressed. Does this happen to you? Is it normal for the symptoms to come back so quickly?

I had to stay on every other day for months.

I got alot worse before better .

It is very individual to what one needs.

Ive not had the depressed feeling you describe.

I csn feel very detached / shut down/ weak / fatigued.

All you can do is when you think going 3 days worth a try is try it and monitor.

I think as we are all told from the medics we do not need frequent b12 injections it somehow makes it feel better if we have fewer.

The main thing to concentrate on is keeping your symptoms at bay.

What you do with dizziness and burning feet and numbness in hands and feet? One day after injection I feel so depressed and I have to walk and exercise to fix this walking problem and dizziness and burning feet and numbness in hands. I'm on four days injection with cyanocobalamin. It's like a hell life if you are alone.

Those symptoms often lead to anxiety and taken together will often result in a diagnosis of depression - as it did with me.

B12 injections aren’t going to heal you by it self, it works with cofactors if they are neglected the effects of the injections is being reduced or nil in worst case. That’s why you need your GP to monitor these cofactors regularly and if unwilling then do it privately. Your body is like a fine tuned car, a lot of parts working together for best performance, if one fails the performance is affected.

May I ask what these cofactors are?

I was still having neurologic symptoms with injecting every other day, and they cleared up when I changed to every day. I have been on every day for a year and a half (I think? Pandemic time is weird.) Recently I tried to move to every other day, but symptoms came back intensely. So I tried for 2 days on and one off, but that still didn't work. I was finally able to reduce to injecting 5 days a week right for the time being, but if I am under increased stress, I still have to go back to SI every day. I do monitor my cofactors, so I don't think that's the issue. I just seem to need more frequent injections than most people.

I really wish I didn't have to inject so often, but it's clear that I feel a lot better when I do. At least for me, every other day to once a week would be a huge leap, but others have a different experience.
