I watched too. Was a bit disappointed. Lots of people who eat large amounts of junk food or alcohol. I think I eat pretty well but my gut is very unhappy. I would have liked to have seen someone who did eat moderately get help.

I quite agree, in fact I told my partner we might as well eat junk food and takeaways. Always have good food, meat fish vegetables, and fruit yet we still suffer.Haven't had alcohol for years!

It's just so frustrating.

I don’t know what the answer is. I would be prepared to give things up if I knew which foods were the culprits.

Do you think you could swallow that camera ?

Er I don’t know. I suppose so. It was a bit weird wasn’t it?

Just the thought of it makes me gag !

I can imagine the camera would be thrown around in my stomach giving it seasickness

😂😜

Having had digestive problems for years, I eventually found fermented food - kefir in the mornings on an empty stomach and sauerkraut after a meal and no gluten - seems to keep microbiome happy and, hopefully, helps absorb more vital nutrients, including B12.......

Thanks for the article. It looks like the UK equivalent of the company that are testing gut biome is health path. I may give them a go. God knows how much money I’ve spent already trying to figure out what’s going wrong healthpath.com/products/tests/

Don't bother - it was rubbish and also badly presented.

Fair enough - thanks for the warning! 😀

I did watch it and I don't think it was rubbish or poorly presented but I think people on this forum may feel disappointed because it was looking at members of the general public and just looking at options and how they responded - small sample so not very scientific at all and didn't pretend to be. The idea of using a micro-camera at the start would have been to rule out other problems that would have explained the gut issues - which would probably have included PA - so it really was about the interaction between diet and gut function and, surprise, surprise, one key conclusion was that a bad diet does your gut no favours.

Very interesting. That sounds like a relatively balanced approach - especially for TV!

I'm all the more intrigued and looking forward to seeing it.

There's no two ways about it - a "bad" diet is so called because it isn't good for you!
