B12 injection and neck rash

I had my initial loading doses in March this year. After 8 days a rash appeared on the back of my neck. 3 days after I had finished the loading doses I started Vitamin D drops. My GP said it was the Vitamin D and told me to stop taking the drops. It took a few weeks but did eventually clear up. About a fortnight ago I had my top up B12 injection and 3 days ago a rash has started to appear in the same area of the neck. Now to complicate things I started taking folic acid 4 days ago. I am not sure what to do because if I contact the GP he will just say stop the folic acid. Has anyone had problems with rashes after the B12 injections and did they come straight away or appear after a period of time.

My GP said it wasn't the B12 injections but I am not sure how he knows that.

It's a common occurrence after b12 Injections. It on the known side effects list. I had them around my hairline on Mt face and back. Never had any sort of acne before.

Very sore lumps

I very rarely get them now after in injection.

Like the b12 feeding bacteria or waking it up in dead cells.

I didn't get rashes, but I have a lot of acne. It leveled off after a while but I still get bumps on my back.

After my loading doses of b12 I got acne/ pimples on my jaw back and abit on my neck. My gp told me had nothing to with b12 but I knew it was connected.

I had that same kind of Rash on the back of my neck but it was when the GP stopped my B12 Injections for three years.

Acne type rashes are common when injecting B12, particularly on the scalp/face/neck area. I used to get this initially but after 2 years am no longer affected. Sounds as though your doc isn’t too clued up 🙄

I used to get these at first. The worst ones were up my nose / down my ears but mostly just on neck and face. They very rarely appear now and are never as bad - only occurs after having a bit of a setback.

This is the only side-effect I've had from six years of frequent B12 injections. If you look in the right-hand column at the top of this page (heading: Related Posts), you will see that this is quite a common complaint. Still doubt that many GPs are aware of it.

I got acne type of blot came up 2 - 3 places on the face recently - Not sure it's B12 related: I'd like to be removed by laser or something - I'm 70 Yrs.
