I know that some GP practices have been seeing patients who require it throughout the pandemic. It seems to be a bit of a lottery. What about a walk in centre? It does sound like you need to be seen. You shouldn't be left to suffer like this with no support.
Yes I'm going to try Tuesday as my Gp back in work. if the prescription I've got doesn't help.
You couldn't write it whats going on with Gps at present.
It's very annoying not to be seen after queuing on the phone then waiting for the call back and basically given a prescription to be collected when a diagnosis has been guessed . And told to phonec111
Alot of those with ongoing chronic conditions haven't been seen.
Specialists have such a backlog now.
Acute care ongoing. Also cancer scares beung and promptly seen.
At least thst is happening.
All this trial and error does feel like being fobbed off ...
It's happening everywhere it seems.
I think worse with this condition as lets face it we are short changed and left to DIY most of thd time
Very worrying.. things will get missed
I really don't understand
Thanks.
You may have a more systemic fungal infection. It happened to me. The effects were horrible and strange. Aches and pains everywhere. Tiredness even though injections EOD. Painful swallowing. Stomach aches. Horrible. I needed two weeks of fluconazole to get rid. Apparently having low stomach acid is a risk factor and needed to cut out not just things with sugar in them but high carb foods too. Did that for 6 weeks which was difficult. But got me back on balance. I now take 20 billion CFU saccromyces boulardii (a probiotic effective against yeast and given to patients to recover from the effects of antibiotics) and 2 x 50 billion CFU probiotics (Natures Zest) every day. Touch wood I have been fine since. This helped me so sharing in case it helps you or others.
Glad you found a remedy .I might get a tablet of fluconazole otc.
Already trying an oral application I bought
My mouth never been thus dire before.
Gp wouldn't see me so j coukd make sure it is thrush!!
Pretty useless really. I've been doing all she advised for some time.
Will insist next week to be seen.
Ridiculous state if affairs just to ve told to ring 111 .
Nor sure what is happening. 111 wont cope if Gps not seeing patients.
Scalp needs an examination too.
Not actually seem a doctor fir over a year.
All very worrying
I will look into things once it's been diagnosed properly
I live with a type one diabetic so plenty if good carbs on the menu. And very low sugar. I've lost more weight cutting out stuff to lower cholesterol. Musnt loses anymore.
I did try 2 different prebiotics which actually upset my gut
.
But you are right irs finding the right bakance fir everyone is different.
Thus set of by another tooth falling apart. Then a dentist trip.
Thsnk you
The situation with GPs isn’t sustainable from a patient care perspective I agree. I hope you get the help you need.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having a bad time of it. I hope you find something that helps, unfortunately I don’t have any useful advice.I hope you start to feel better soon
Is your mouth ‘flare-up’ from the dentist? I frequently have a sore mouth, tongue etc that just happens a couple of days after I have been to the dentist. A reaction to something they use at the dentist?Hope it clears soon.
