After loading B12 injections

Had my loading injections a few weeks ago. Initially I got a rush of symptoms which I posted about and recognise that this may be the nerves “waking up” again. Some weeks my symptoms disappear almost completely and some weeks I can feel them back again. At what point should everything start improving for good? Not sure whether to speak to GP or wait the full 3 months first. They didn’t tell me what to expect and I didn’t think to ask 🙄

Thanks

Good morning Hephzi it’s taken me around 12 months to see any lasting changes in the neuro symptoms, every one is different and I have a number of health issues going on so I’ve been hard work for the b12.You’ll have to be patient and relax and let it do it’s work, unless you have a very good gp they would not be able to tell you much more than you’ll learn here, the forum has been a fantastic resource for many of us

I had a period where my neuro symptoms really ramped up and even now if I miss my shots I’ll quickly decline again. It’s all trial and error.See what happens after your three months you may find like a lot us you need to self inject on a more frequent basis or you may be fine.keep posting and best of luck.

Thank you. I definitely will keep on this board.

I was taking the Better You B12 spray before my injections. Do you all still take an oral supplement as well as the injections if on 3 monthly?

No Hephzi it doesent help for me.I was every other day injections then I managed to go to twice weekly, all self injecting,3 months is a killer for me.I need large doses in my blood because it can’t get into the cells so I rely on a trickle over effect ,bit like a waterfall ,my endo at the beginning said I had functional b12 deficiency then I got private I.F testing done which confirmed pernicious anemia. This has worked well for me but I have other Autoimmune diseases that cause a cross over of symptoms so it’s been a long trek for me.
