I would stick to Hydroxocobalamin. Some gat side effects from methylcobalamin. If your folate levels went high you dont need to supplement.

That happened to me on 400mcg folic acid daily that most have as a maintenance doses. Go by your bloods

I just have 200mcg in a multivit. Which is 3 or 4 times weekly.

I do seem to digest it from food

I Do have chick peas ,chard ,orange juice ect my diet

Go by your bloods.

My daughter needs 400mcg daily to maintain levels.

It takes a while to feel the benefits of you b12 injections

There is no good reason why methylcobalamin should be any better than hydroxocobalamin. If you have 'methylation problems' then taking methylcobalamin will not be any better and may be a lot worse.

If your folate levels went high with folic acid then they will go just as high using methylfolate. How much folic acid were you using? If it was 5 mg tablets then throw them away and switch to 400 mcg of folic acid.
