Collected b12 today

I’m just back from docs I had to collect my script for b12 but it was already at pharmacy so my appointment with nurse is booked for next week.

Before I went I happened to check my online records and saw that I am supposed to have been sent a text message to have a 24 hour urine collection done for a Catecholamines test.apparently the labs couldn’t do test last time because they ,gp,gave me the wrong container it should have had acid in it. I never got any text I was not advised of this and wouldn’t have known If I hadn’t checked my records.

Is it any wonder I can’t trust them.I don’t know if it was gp or the Professor I’m seeing on Thursday that ordered this test and I don’t know what it’s for.Can anyone advise so I don’t go gaga googling I’m already wound up about this sst test on Thursday I really am scared of it and don’t want to have it done.,my stress levels are climbing again and I’m unbearable when I’m like this my poor hubby has so much to contend with.xx

Hi,

Catecholamines are hormones produced in the medulla (the central part) of the adrenal glands.

The main catecholamines are dopamine, adrenaline and noradrenaline.

I assume that the doctor wants to check the levels of these hormones.

I am not medically trained.

Hi Sleepybunny thank you for replying I’m so worried by all this different stuff going on that I’m getting too scared to research now.ill bet this was meant to be done before my consultant appointment on Thursday.
