Autoimmune gastric : Went to same day... - Pernicious Anaemi...
Autoimmune gastric
Auto Immune Gastritis is the cause of Pernicious Anaemia , and I hope that you are being treated for it with vitamin B12 injections , because that is the only way for you to avoid becoming unwell . due to you being unable to. absorb that most important vitamin . OMEPRAZOLE will annihilate any stomach acid that you have . This makes it difficult for you to absorb other vitamins and minerals , and that PPI ( Proton Pump Inhibitor ) Omeprazole should only be used for a short time . Stomach acid is very important for breaking down the food we eat and making nutrients available to our body .
I took a probiotic to alleviate my gut problems when I was diagnosed with P.A. Fermented foods which are natural probiotics , are also good e.g Organic sauerkraut , real yoghurt, kefir kimchi etc. And I used to drink an acidic drink with my meals — , but now after 4 years of B12 injections , my gut problems have improved 100% .
If you are not being treated for P.A. , you should be . It is important for you to get a diagnosis . and have B12 injections . Also important that you are on Omeprazole for a short a time as possible . Best wishes ,
