I have been self injecting now for a good 6 to 8 months and previous to that having one injection every 3 months from my GP for 18 months.
Before finding out I was b12 deficient amongst many other things I would get excruciating headaches. Almost as if my brain wanted to crunch on bone. Very bizarre I know.
Anyway I'm having another episode and I inject either once or twice a week.
What I have increased is my exercise from walking to running.
I dont feel tired or have any standard b12 symptoms at this stage, as I get if I dont inject, but I was wondering if anyone experiences something similar with headaches.
My other theory is perhaps the pain is from my neck and the jolting from running is causing the pain.
The headache is there from when I wake up until I fall asleep.
Thank you

The latest I was told was continuos contracting nuchal muscles . They do run from base of neck.
I've had and have very fragile nerve head pain .
What has improved ate the severe headaches that made me bedbou d a d in a dark room for days
WhT I do notice is less headaches more off balance A vestibular disturbance
It was also pur on a letter damage to the cerebellum from b12 deficiency. I dont dwell on that now as it was thoughts I think from a neuriologist rather than a diagnosis. He thought my headaches were rebound Theh were not as I puf it ti the test with great pain.
I'm slowly slowly maki v improvements buf my head hurts every morning to different degrees.
No patterns af present apart from so e basic.
Pattern glare from stripes and a u artificial light and j csnt walk straight. Aksi sets buxmzzing off as though u might pass out.
Cant read a book or watch tv. If u try I get very irritable as my head hurts and gets too busy.
I would concentrate on tour neck. I do neck stretching exercises which relaxes it and will strengthen it I paid to see a pysio that specialised with head pain.
I've since seem a NHS pysio twice. He hS given me similar but much more gentle exercises that suit me better using a thera band.
The former exercises coukd trigger a headache!!
If yih are able to run I'm sure toh could tolerate more pysio
I dud have a brain and neck MRI.
I know all about crunchy necks and head! This has all been since b12 deficiency diagnosed no problems before that.
Hioe that helps. Akso considering a cranial Osteopathy when possible as rinni g oug of ideas.
Thank you very much. I'm thinking it's my neck also and perhaps I shall do some stretches and ease up on the running. I forgot how debilitating they can be.
If I were you , I would revert to walking . Also , sometimes you feel worse before you feel better . Also full recovery depends on how long you have been B12 deficient . Best wishes .
I did have everything checked and I am quite rigid with my vitamin taking from vitamin B complex, magnesium, acerola cherry for vitamin C and an all round multivitamin and organic spirulina.
Perhaps I have over done it and need to ease myself back into exercise.
I have suffered with daily headaches & migraine for the past 30 years & have tried all sorts of medications from paracetamol, triptans & anticonvulsants. Neurologist were of no help, just told yes you suffer from migraines!
I am now daily headache free & only had one 3 day migraine rather than weekly since I started B12 myself. I do also take B complex, magnesium, D3 with K and folic acid (which I have taken for years with no noticeable improvement) I have been injecting daily for the past 4 months & this is working but will reduce to weekly. This may seem a little extreme but reluctant to reduce whilst I’m headache, brain fog free & able to function better!
I had not been tested for B12 deficiency but it was picked up I was low in folic acid.
