Okay so I've had 5 weekly shots of b12 and after the 3rd one I actually started to see some improvements in my energy levels, mood and partially some fog had lifted up. Wasn't there completely but I started to feel a little better.
Then I had my periods about a week ago which were fine as usual but by the end of it, around the 4th day I started experiencing weakness, tired, that fog sightly come back.
I'm not as bad as I was before starting the shots but I feel a drop in energy both mental and physical after my periods.
Is this normal?
Isn't the b12 recovery linear?
Also, before starting the shots, I felt so so so bad during my periods. Could hardly get out of bed or think clearly.
So yes it's better than that this time but it's still there.
I was hoping after 5 shots I wouldn't experience it this time.
Any suggestion would really help.

If your body doing something else like having a period. This will have a greater effect so I think normal in the healing process . I used to get 'wiped out' with digesting food at o e point.
Hi I've always found that I feel a little worse around my period, just tire more easily everything is a bit slower then get out of the dip a few days later. Has got better over time so the dip is less noticeable but not sure if that's because I now have monthly injections.
Some recommend that iron/ferritin should be checked again after starting b12 injections. Because all that new b12 may inspire the body to use its iron reserves to make new healthy red blood cells. And then you lost some blood/iron during the period on top of that, and the body starts replacing the lost blood using up even more iron. So even if your ferritin was OK before starting the b12, it may have changed since.
