Hi,, I am alka... I have b12 and d3 absorption problem. In july2019 my b12, d3, was low so Dr told me to take supplements and I took and in Nov 2019 it came to 635 and d3 was also 55...but again in feb2020 I had severe fatigue so I tested again it came down to 235 and d3 30.

I had taken b12 shots in mar2020 and took 6 weeks d3 supplement course.

And now started taking multivitamin Revital H women. Hope it's fine

I am 44 becoz of this absorption I have irregular periods/spotting.

I have milk issues so not taking it.

Please suggest some remedy to improve absorption.

Take a low-dose vitamin D supplement all the time.

Is Revital H Women is good??? It gives 300IU vitamin d2.

The NHS recommends 10 mcg a day for everybody during autumn and winter. That is about 400 IU.

Which multivitamin you suggest

I don't.

I recommend taking the vitamins that you need. For me that it B12, D and folate. Anything else is just a chemical contaminant.

It's really difficult to fine low dose vitamin D, so I use these - smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/produ...

I take vitamin d3 with the main meal. with the most fat for absorption.

To raise my initial low level of vitamin d the doctor prescribed loading doses. It was 21 . I now take vitamin d daily 1000ug

My last blood test said it was 63 .

Also time in the sun with face and torso exposed. Not too long otherwise you could burn. Good way to get vit d. Also some foods eggs mushrooms ect.

B12 maintenance injections are needed.

Yes, I would agree with fbirder, and take low does D3 every day. Maybe Stick with a low dose as I took the high strength and got pains in my upper legs, which went away when I restarted the lower dose.

I also take 2 x 1000 of VitB12 tablets and folic acid. Because I have PA and have injections, I decided 3months ago to stop supplementing with the 1000 tablets, as I thought I would only absorb very little. However I genuinely noticed a deterioration in my brain fog and fatigue, so have started again, and good results. I stopped all other multi vitamins, as I believed I personally don't need them. One little question, you said you have milk issues, is it dairy intolerance or just milk? It may be worth taking the vitamin D with calcium, not just D3. As you need calcium to absorb Vit D. Hope this helps x

Thanks ...that is really helpful... Right now I am taking Revital h women... It has calcium, d2, b12 and other vitamins.

As I have period issues also and if my levels of b12 and d3 issues are normal then I get back periods.

I have absorption issue basically....

Should I stop multivitamin and should take only b12 and d3, calcium.

Please suggest.

I take B12 1000ug and D3 (but recently changed from super strength to normal) I buy these from Healthspan UK on line. I don't take a calcium supplement to as I drink milk, yogurt and cheese. X
