What is as a low B12 what should it be?

Hi I'm new to all this b12 & folate deficient..Could any one tell me is a reading of my B12 170 low then?

Different labs use different units and different ranges. So you need to give more than just a number. You should have been given a result similar to this -

170 pmol/L (115 - 660 pmol/L)

or, maybe

170 ng/L (180 - 1100 ng/L)

With one you would be low, the other, not.

there are also two types of test - serum and active/holoT. Does the test give a range? Your result would be on the high side for active B12.

When was the test done in relation to treatment?
