B12 over Christmas

I have a fortnightly b12 and can just about manage with that.... however when I had my b12 today the next one should be 31st but my gp is closed so I was given an appointment for the 2nd. I know how I will be feeling by then - but the nurses were so grumpy and said I would just have to wait. Any ideas?

Self injection.

My gp provides me with a prescription for my B12 which I self inject.

I'm on the same frequency. Having my injection tomorrow then on he 2/1/20

I've got high dose oral b12 tablets I use . They probably do nothing but you can passively absorb 1%.

I intend to do less over Christmas .

If you can passively absorb 1% and you take 5000 mcg a day then you shouldn't need injections. 50 mcg a day is 1500 mcg a month. And you'll retain much more of that 1500 mcg than you will of a 1000 mcg injection.

So I will be wasting my time?

I got the tablets last year whilst waiting for ths next lot of injections to start.

I thought i read the on here about passively absorbing 1%

But if you can absorb tablets its ths first choice.

So its the big

IF YOU CAN ??

I'm confused now as if that is a fact its fine if dietary like if you ate vegan. But not if you have PA or sn absorption problem. Is that what you are saying?

That's what I am saying. If everybody in the world absorbs 1% (or even 0.5%) then nobody in the world needs injections. Not even those with an absorption problem.

In October my wife persuaded the doctor to let her do the injections on me. After some training she does them three times a week at present as I still have neuro symptoms. The gp's surgery were too busy to do them.
