See my previous posts, many neurological symptoms and most of the other symptoms too. But serum b12 in 300s and MMA and HoloTC in the normal range but I don't have the actual figures yet. I have just been told by my private Geriatrician that dispite these result he has persuaded my GP to give me a trial of two weeks b12 injections. The question is will this be long enough to prove PA one way or the other? Or should I press for say three weeks?
Your advice would be helpful.
Thank you in advance.

To be honest even with loading doses. It might take months, if not years to feel the benefit. Depends on how long you have been deficient. And what damage was done.
In the UK the standard protocol is three injections a week for two weeks, then one every two to three months. Most people find that some symptoms improve over those two weeks. Others will take much longer, and some symptoms may never get 100% better.
Having a trial period of injections definitely is the best way to diagnose a deficiency.
Thank you for your replies. If the trial is successful I hope I will be offered continued injections as I have serious neurological damage. I will gather my information ready to discuss with the GP.
