Does anyone take this?

Hello all.

After reading about lots of you who take a "broad range multi vitamin" supplement, I don't have a clue what to take after asking at health shops etc.

But, after looking specifically for my partner yesterday who suffers with allergies, I read about Bee Pollen tablets.

They supposedly contain over 250 biologically active substances, including proteins, carbs, lipids, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants & is supposed to be excellent for hay fever, plus loads of many other benefits.

Also increases energy, mood & libido amongst many other things so I may get a few bottles for myself 😁

Does anyone take this & has it helped you?

I really wouldn't fancy putting over 250 'biologically active' chemicals inside me all at once. Not if I didn't know exactly what that biological activity is (botulinum toxin is biologically active), what doses I'd be getting of them and how they interact with each other. Yes, it is natural and people have been taking it for thousands of years - you can say the same for deadly nightshade.

I had read that locally sourced honey can help with hay fever as it contains pollen from the local fauna. Did nothing for mine

Thanks fbirder

I think there is a lot of hype (and money to be made around these things) and we are all desperately looking for answers for our aches, pains and other symptoms.

After reading on here about broad spectrum vitamins (which just means a pill that contains a number of vitamins and minerals) I decided to try it as I have been suffering with burning nerve pains in my back and aching bones (and there’s nothing wrong with my vitamin D) .

I got a micronutrient screen from my GP as I also suffer from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency and she wanted to check my absorption.

She found that my B1 (thiamine) was too high as was my zinc and my B6 was was too low.

The body very carefully balances vitamins and minerals on its own and I wouldn’t be using my body as a research ground again without first understanding what is going on.

Thanks for that Martin.

I was looking for my partner as she suffers badly from hay fever & other allergies. That's when I read about all the other supposed benefits.

From what I went through with a certain medication, I'm really careful now what I do take, which is why I thought I'd put it on here first. I'll be giving it a miss.

Thanks for the reply 👍
