I have not been diagnosed as having PA - yet.
I am 84 y.o.a and have health problems since 1955 and very little medical assistance other than from a few doctors who have saved my life on a few occasions from Pneumonia and other problems.
My problems showed following an injury to my Rt leg Blisters, pinprick rash, Migratory Thrombophlebitis, then A.Fib, irregular heartbeat, severe aches and pains, Fatigue.
After that CABGs on two separate occasions & a TIA, DVT & Pulmonary Embolisms, Asthma, diagnosis of Fibromyalgia & Chronic fatigue, Complex Apnoeas (Obstructive & Central) several bouts of Pneumonia one very severe took 5 weeks to know I was surviving. Severe pain over lower body and weakness, Pain over the upper body and very bad head pains including pain in both temples and painful arteries in my temple.
On my own, I forced the issue to have homocysteine tests which the Pathology people said were high enough to give me up to 4 times the possibility of Cardiac events. Pushed for a genetic test and found was Homozygous c677T. Several specialists denied any immune system problems.
I am now waiting to find out if I have Multiple Myeloma as a Haematologist said that my Pathology and symptoms made it a possibility. Have several weeks to wait for my next appointment following Scans and more pathology.
I have developed many reactions to medications & food. I have pushed myself to keep working most of the time and have been made redundant twice and told I was a risk to every one following my TIA but studied and went into a safer occupation.
I am looking for answers as the medical profession has always been negative. Telling me I was quite well when I pushed both times when I was finally found to need Bypasses and when I had Respiratory problems being told that I was only depressed and giving me scripts for anti-psychotic drugs after which I was proven to have the PEs I have probably missed a few things.
Does this sound like anything to do with anything you people have experienced?
Regards Bill Pilgrim
