Hi I experience something like this. When I approached my dr she thinks it’s a facial migraine. I do suffer from migraines head ones which appear to ease off when I get this numbness. Do you suffer with migraines too?

Yes I do suffer with them! How long does your numbness last?

Mine goes numb from my forehead to my top jaw with a feeling like the anaesthetic is wearing off from a dentists. I had one yesterday lasted a good 8 hours. I put up with them and don’t complain as my migraines feel like I’ve been hit in the head with a pick axe. Best of 2 evils

Mine doesn't tingle but does go numb and tongue swells at same time. Feels like the muscles from my eyes down to my jaw have gone droopy. It's normally one of my indicators that I need an injection.

It really sounds as though you need more injections than you are being given . You must try with your GP first . If you are not successful, it’s a great idea to self-inject. I know it sounds scary , but it isn’t (if I can do it ,so can you ,) It’s also cheap and convenient . B12 injections need to be obtained from certain German online pharmacies. Everything else can be obtained in U.K. If you find that it’s necessary , come back here for information . Best wishes

Hi

This is how I was diagnosed with b12 deficiency. I started to feel pins n needles/numbness down my left cheek. This is also the symptom that comes back if I am needing an injection.

Really! I’ve felt the numbness for over a week now and still have about 9 weeks until my next injection :(

Are you in the UK?

I had to go privately as my Dr would not give me anymore injections after my first 5. After my second lot of loading injections I started feeling much better. I am now going monthly to try build up my neurological symptoms.

Before i was diagnosed with pernicious anaemia one of my many symptoms was numbness from my right eyebrow around my cheekbone and down the right side of my nose. After the loading injections and a few months later it went completely. I also had a numb right foot.

I had total scalp and across face numbness which hashould fade over 8 months of b12 injections. I too can get dibilitating migrains as was told by a neurologists those feelings and light and noise sensitivity all part of it. Mr nose sort of vibrates if vulnerable and been talking. I now know to try and relax the quiet until it passes . Has greatly improved though. Such an odd uncomfortable feeling.

Just another lovely symptom.

I get it on one side of my face and the head and brain on the same side.

As it started with hands and arms I knew it was the low B12.

One of the neurological symptoms of B12 deficiency.
