Depends upon the area of injection and whether your muscles are too weak. I get them in arms and sometimes they do hurt for few days if press the spot.

was top of the arms, still aching a bit and painful

For me the previous injection site reacts to the new injection. New site doesn’t hurt till I get the next jab.

Nope! I keep getting the pains in both arms still it’s like niggly nerve pain, really annoying!

I find some are no problem at all some are painful and bruise. My arms ached on loading doses at times. I think when you poorly and run down everything hurts more. I take an ice block to hold on area before injection. That helps me. Hope the next one goes well. Some nurses are better than others with IM injections. Ask them to do it slowly and see if that helps. Sometimes given quiclay as some people move ! TRyder snd relax the arm too

I self inject into alternate buttocks every three days. That way my thighs and arm are still usable and more of less pain free.

However, if I roll over in the night, I’ll remember sharply - I find I want to sleep with the old injection site down - keep it warm? Press on it to use it up?

If I sleep on the new injection site, it doesn’t seem to last as long.

Mine depend on the nurse giving them! Some do it slowly and tell me to relax my arm and others jab it in and do it in a second (which is definitely worse as it’s they’re quite stingy! Then it does ache for a few hours)

I’ve also had it done and hardly felt a thing, and twice they managed to hit a blood vessel which bled a bit and I made the nurse laugh as I was more worried about the b12 leaking back out 😂

1st jab left arm never felt a thing just a sensation of the fluid going into my arm. quite pleasant. 2nd injection and I am right handed was a nightmare pins and needles throbbing actually swore out loud. They said it may be I had a stronger muscle in that arm. Thereafter all injections whether left or right were ok. Just think individuals are different.

For me, relaxing my arm, taking a deep breath and exhaling, and pushing the plunger slowly results in less painful injections. Having the ampoule be at room temperature (not too cold) also helps.

That’s interesting . I self inject top of mid-thigh but no soreness whatsoever at anytime
