Whilst the subject matter of this article is off topic for the forum - about artificial sweetners - I think it is a good example of what to look for in a reviewing how the results of research is presented, so thought it would be of use to members of the forum

Key points illustrated:

- know who funded the research - is this likely to introduce a bias?

- is there balanced presentation of studies rather than a reliance on just one study? - one small study = a possibility that needs to be confirmed by further studies.
