Anyone else have hoarseness and/or GORD with B12 neuropathy? Vagal nerve problems?

Around the same time my peripheral neuropathy started I developed a weakness in my voice and also reflux which I never had before. I was wondering if any of you have had the same problems? Strangely my right side improved with about 2 weeks of treatment, but my left side started to worsen after that until I got up to twice a day shots and for the last year it has been slowly improving. What is most bothersome now is that my left vocal cord doesn’t move very well and my esophageal sphincters aren’t working well so I keep getting stomach reflux in my pharynx despite max PPI and H2 blockers. I’m thinking my vagus nerve isn’t working correctly. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!

acid reflux can be the result of low stomach acidity as well as high stomach acidity - low stomach acidity is very likely if you have B12 absorption problems.

There is a home test - using bicarbonate of soda that you can do to see if this appears to be the case - listed on this site.

Many of us find that actually taking something acid with food - I find lime or lemon juice in water very effective when I get heart burn.
