I'm so new to all of this, so please forgive my ignorance..

I was dxd with PA just over 7 weeks ago. I also have FMS, Hypothyroidism (0% thyroid remaining), hypokalemia, early onset menopause, osteopenia & GAD..

Is ATAXIA a neurological effect of PA?

You my knowledge it can be. It can also be caused by numerous other things though. I assume a neurologist would investigate.

I'm sorry to hear you've so much going on . I imagine some are linked.

Certainly seen early menopause on lists of B12 deficiency symptoms- I think on Pernicious Anaemia Society's for one that should be taken seriously by a doctor. Might be worth joining if you haven't yet.

People on this forum have talked about osteopenia, so perhaps others here will know of a link. I certainly think my osteoporosis of the spine is linked, if only due to onset dates coinciding.

Hypothyroid certainly also connections there - @Marz who has both Hashimoto's and PA could explain the link possibly. She is on this forum and Thyroid one.

Not sure what the others are, but sure if others with these conditions see this, they will let you know!

You have a lot to cope with and process: take it easy and keep in touch. People here are very helpful, sometimes takes a while to get replies you need, especially this time of year.
