You can google arnika-apo.de . It is a small manufacturing pharmacy in Munich Germany . Email address β€” manufaktur@arnika-apo.de you can write in English and tell them what you want to buy .

They offer 1ml Methylcobalamin ampoules in 1mg or 5mg strength . Or you can also phone them on 089 452 468 468 ( they speak English . ) . You can pay by PayPal . I have used them in the past , but find that Hydroxocobalamin is equally good and much easier and cheaper to obtain .. Best wishes .They are a good firm . I know them because I used to live in Munich.

There's no reason why methylcobalamin should be any better than hydroxocobalamin. And many reasons why it may be worse (not least, the expense and the difficulty obtaining it).

I have no problem in trying hydroxycobalamin. I was using Methylcobalamin as that is what Dr Chandy b12 charity recommended and I had syringes for it. Where would I get Hydroxycobalamin please?

versandapo.de/

mycare.de/

Both of the above sell hydroxocabalamin. If you search for B12 Depot Rotexmedica, the hydroxocobalamin vials will come up in the search results. I haven't personally used versandapo but many here have with good results. The mycare website has the ability to view the website in English (upper right hand side of the website, pick the appropriate flag for the language you wish to view).

You can also use amazon.de and search for the products there. You can view the website in English. Prices can vary. Not all sources ship to all locations.

Best!

I'd like to see the research on what potentially makes it worse.

Transport and storage? So you don't ever buy any food that is perishable?

Cost? Cheaper doesn't necessarily reflect quality and effectiveness.

Do come up with something I can sink my teeth into, because I have used methycobalamin with very good results.

BTW, if you can't come up with something substantive, please quit trashing methycobalamin.

I was prescribed methylcobalamin while living in India and switched to hydroxocabalamin when I returned to live in the UK and haven't noticed any difference between them so surely it's common sense to use something which is cheaper and easier to obtain?

I just want to see people use what works best for them irrespective of price.

In all the research that I have done, I still can't say (or see) that one form of B12 is better than the rest (exceptions for specific known medical issues). But I have seen in studies and people that I know (myself included!) that oftentimes people will get better results when switching to a different form than the one that they started with which gave them little to no results.

So if one form works best for you and it happens to be inexpensive, then that's great!

Completely agree with this

Me too. The single use ampoules are completely fine for storage but slightly more expensive. I personally continue to use methyl as has always worked very well for me. Am always confused by the negative reaction about it by certain people on this site and the myth about storage etc which simply isn’t true for the arnika single use ampoules.

Becomes frustrating to constantly read any time anyone mentions methyl.

Yikes! Is there an issue with storage of Methylcobalamin? I have the 5mg amps and divide them into 5 syringes as recommended by the b12d charity. Is there a problem with this? Thanks

I use 5mg single use ampoules from arnika and no problem with storage at all. Shelf life normally 18 months and temp fine. I’m sure the b12 charity’s advice to you is accurate, particularly if u are seeing positive effects.
