Numbness b12 level 147
Hi upndxwns are you in the United States or some other country?
How long have you been having the B12 injections at one per week?
Do you know whether your Folate level has been tested?
What sort of diet do you have? Can you eat meat, fish. seafood. eggs, dairy produce?
Are you taking proton-pump- inhibitors (PPI). H2 blockers, antacids, Metformin, and related diabetes drugs, or other medications, or infections such as h-pylori that can interfere with B12 absorption?
Has your doctor told you the cause of your low B12 level?
I am not a medically trained person but I've had Pernicious Anaemia (one of many causes of B12 deficiency) for more than 46 years.
I wish you well.
HI my doctor has not told me the cause of my b12 deficiency and i have been taking the once week injection for a 4 months now and my symptoms are worse. Do you guys take the 1000mg shots everyday to help with symptoms instead of every week ? Ive been taking them for 3 days and my arms are still the same thank you!! Also i don't take any medications i used to take pylori meds 2-3 years ago
In the UK treatment to start with is 1mg B12 injections on alternate days until there is no further improvement in neurological symptoms with "Maintenance" doses either every two months (with neuropathy) or three months (without neuropathy).
It is important that your Folate level is monitored as this is essential to process the B12.
There is a complex interaction between folic acid, vitamin B12 and iron. A deficiency of one may be "masked" by excess of another so the three must always be in balance.
Symptoms of a folate deficiency can include:
symptoms related to anaemia
reduced sense of taste
diarrhoea
numbness and tingling in the feet and hands
muscle weakness
depression
Folic acid works closely with vitamin B12 in making red blood cells and helps iron function properly in the body.
Please remember I am not medically trained.
I have been using the German shampoo in the green box for about 6mths now for hair loss, it is quite expensive as shampoo goes but I am finding it does work, my hair is thickening up again and is lovely soft and shinny and there is much less hair in my brush and in the plughole
You leather up and then leave it on for at least 2 min.
Best wishes
May I ask for the name of that German shamphoo? have been experiencing drastic hairloss for a while, plus dullness and dryness of hair. Apologies for hijacking upndxwns's post.
Plantor 39 and its around £9 a bottle so I use sparingly but it has helped my hair loss considerably you can get in most supermarkets and chemist shops, hope it helps
All best wishes
