ITV’s This Morning had a bit by some celebrity doctor about B12.

Apparently the vast majority of people with a severe deficiency need a few injections but are then OK with tablets.

And vegetarians can get enough B12 from soya!

I do wish that celeb docs (and many others - docs and celebs) actually wanted, and were forced, to take responsibility for what they spout.

And just how are the patients supposed know they are OK with tablets? Go away, suffer for months, then come back worse than they started?

Hi,

I hope Martyn Hooper sees this.

"vegetarians can get enough B12 from soya"

What?

There is a certain duty of care that applies to broadcasters when it comes to things like this.

Would be well worth complaining.

I've just been send the link. So unprofessional. Diagnosed with low b12 but NHS don't screen actual active B12. Was advised to go private through GPS lab £120. I didn't want injections until I knew actual reading. I upped my diet and supplemented with solgar sub lingual, about 7 tabs in all. Did private (first pruck, it hurt lol) test £40, came back high active b12, well 300. Been advised full blood count and liver function tests needed in a month. Have insisted NHS do these, doctor has agreed.
