Dizzy spell when thinking/Recall memory

This may sound really weird, but the best way i can explain the dizzy spells that i get is that, say im trying to picture a memory in my brain, you know when you try think of something and make it out as a vision.

Lets say for example im trying to picture my friends number plate on his car that iv seen before, and in my brain i try to picture and figure out the letters/numbers, im able to give myself a dizzy/vertigo spell (this also happens with other thoughts, like if im having a conversation and my friends like "do you remember when we..." and i try to recall that memory. Does anyone else get this? could it be caused by low b12 and folate?

I used to experience similar before I started on injections of b12 and got folate up , also would start to sweat and have heart palpitations. At first I thought I had anxiety issues but then I realised I wasn’t aware of it when under pressure more when I was thinking during conversations . Hope this helps .

Im not on injections as my GP has never given me one, and iv been told many times i need one from a gp first incase im allergic, otherwise id self inject for a little while to see if it helps, lets hope these hydroxo lozenges help :P

That's a brilliant description!

It's like your body has so few resources that if you ask it to do something like remember it shuts down one of its other functions to redirect those resources to the new thing!

It definitely could be caused by low B12 and folate.

I hope you can get the level of treatment you need ASAP.

Its so weird isnt it! sometimes the spell can be quite strong and shake my vision for a few seconds and im super off balance. Doubt il get any treatment from the GP's round here though :(

See the replies by Sleepybunny and the other admins to find out how to get more treatment... Or consider self injecting. It's nowhere near as bad as it sounds and being alive and in control of your destiny is so worth it.

Id be fine with injecting myself, its just the potential allergy risk that iv been told to avoid as it would be my first ever b12 injection :(

I have difficulties forming pictures in my brain. I hope you find an answer and treatment that works for your dizzy spells.

I am not medically trained. I've written more detailed replies. May be worth searching for them.

Good point - I'm sorry I didn't realise this.

Thank you Sleepybunny for picking up on this.

I have heard of people who have taken a friend with them and done their first jab outside A&E, just to be on the safe side (and they were fine).

I don't know and would rather someone else advised... I would suggest probably almost instantly, maybe 10 minutes and if it was going to serious within half an hour. But everyone is different.

I had the same. It was the last symptom to fade away with regular b12 shots.

Yes I have the same especially in animated conversation. I also have the same when I eat and my body is processing my food. It's like my body can only focus on one thing at a time and I feel like I'm going to pass out. I also get vertigo and dizziness with it.

Oh my god yes! I had to google this now as I just had quite a bad episode. If this is the same thing you are talking about. It's when think of a past memory or I smell something that reminds me of some past memory. It only lasts like 1 maybe 2 seconds. It's a weird fuzzy feeling like someone has just spun me around really quickly. I've had this for as long as I can remember. is this what you get?
