Wow - such a gift .... I love to try and paint but sadly not too good at it :-(

The only thing I was any good at really. Well, that and woodwork- but not up to doing much joinery these days, on account of I have lost all my muscles and gained a bad back. So a bit of a one-trick pony.

How's the weather where you are? Bet you're glad you missed the Beast from the East !

Keep painting every day like no-one's watching: a gift to yourself, Marz.

Thanks , and hope you are well.

Thank you - am fine coming out of the rough 😊 Weather great whilst in the sun. Will get my brushes out and try to fly the family flag. Check out James Fitton RA ...

Did that: excellent! Especially love the old couple sharing a bottle in the pub.

He really looks the part too....how are you related?

Distant cousin of my Dad - also a Fitton - keep promising myself a serious search .... one day.

Cherylclaire...I think you've been hiding your brush under a bushel.

It's fantastic...and even more so because you've been able to do it.

Wow...as someone who has no artistic ability at all...I stand in awe.

Thanks, lovely Foggyme, this is still me but on a good day, so not there yet but so much better than I was and wasn't able to paint then .....

anyway, forever hopeful, am seeing the gastroenterologist in a couple of weeks and this one seems helpful, kind: it's all we want really, isn't it ? (Although a diagnosis would be nice)

Paintings do something that I can't get to happen using words or even photos- maybe I should take canvas with me to appointments ?

Love it! Brilliant, and done from an unusual angle too. I find Art helps me forget about feeling unwell.

True. You can see why it is used in therapy- you can tell your own story without having to struggle with words, for one thing.

Glad you liked it, MariLiz . Was thinking that this could be therapy plus a good medium for raising awareness.... or would painting your unwell self remind you about feeling unwell ?

[ My mum said I haven't made myself pale enough- I didn't want to look like some drowning pre-Raphaelite ghostly victim, though. Can see what she means - I look a bit like I've had a couple of Merlots ! ]
