B12 injections making me very emotionally unstable

Hi, does anyone else get very emotional and have racing thoughts after their b22 jab? It’s like my mind is on over load and I sob at the smallest of hinges if any reason at all......

Hi Dani82 does this reaction last very long?

I sometimes feel my heart gives a couple of extra beats after an injection.

I guess it's the B12 giving the nervous system a bit of a "kick start" and if your feelings are of only a short duration perhaps there's nothing to fear.

However if you are really worried have a word with your doctor.

Do you know what your Folate level is?

I'm not a medically trained person but have had over 600 B12 injection during the last 46 years.

Hi again clivealive. Iv just had blood repeated, I know they are looking at folate but I take folic acid everyday as I have thalasemia minor. The mental sensations last a couple of days but this condition I fear has really effected my mental stability.

No, the opposite. I feel calm and balanced after the injection but experience what you're describing when it wears off (unfortunately after only 5-10 days)

I had my first b12 injection last week. Since them I’ve been very weepy and anxious over little things.

Chrio1 - I think this is what is happening with me. I got my shot friday and by Sunday/Monday, I am exhausted and have anxiety. Is it an effect of the shot? or of it wearing off? I'm so confused.
