Pity there are no subtitles as with my deafness I have to totally rely on them when watching television etc.

Yes, and it's a brilliant film. It's a good story-line, very entertaining and enjoyable to watch with a clear message regarding the importance of B12 and the 'ignorance' of medical staff. Excellent watch :) I really recommend it too :)

Oh, so sorry about your severe deafness, Clive. If you use hearing aids, there are ways to listen to the tv via 'T-switch' thingy. I'm sorry, but I just can think of the name but I'm sure you'll know what I mean. It's where there is a wire running around the room/area/shop etc and it can cut out all other noises. You probably know more about it all than I do and I don't want to be "teaching you to suck eggs" etc. Please don't take offence.

Please accept my apologies for 'high-jacking' your thread, Astridnova

I think you mean a "loop" system JMN2017 which I don't have at home although I use one regularly at church.

Thanks for the kind thoughts

Ha Ha, yes, the loop system!!! I just couldn't think of the words - memory issue, of course ;)

Thanks

Yes, there is a device, not very expensive, which can be plugged in back of TV and connected to device, have a 'mini-loop' thing around your neck and your hearing aid on 'T'. It just cuts out all other noises etc. Don't know if it may help you? PM me if you'd like further info. ;)

You can get subtitles on many films on you tube and you can get them on this film. Look for a little oblong icon with horizontal lines among the other control icons at the bottom right part of the video. When you hover your mouse over it, it should say, 'Subtitles'. Click on it and you will get subtitles. Sometimes you can choose the language but this one only has English, I think.

I do know about local loops - perhaps I should put one on my Christmas list :) - a bit late now.

I have actually just downloaded the video via RealPlayer, copied it onto a memory stick and started watching on the television with both my "twin turbo" aids turned up.

Hopefully my wife Gill will watch it with me sometime and "fill in" the words I don't get.

As to the subtitles Astridnova I have searched for them on this video and on YouTube but the option does not appear.

If the version you have has subtitles could you please copy the link address and send it to me via a private message?

That's great, @clivealive I'm sure you've both enjoy it and find it encouraging. Yes, be good if you could get a copy that has subtitles - Sending up some prayers for you, finger's crossed etc ...;)

fingers crossed makes typing more difficult than it already is but prayers would be good :)

Clive, maybe try going to french youtube, youtube.fr

That's what I'm using and I can get subtitles. The URL is the same as the link in my first post. However I can get subtitles on english language you tube as well. So can my partner. Good luck.

No - even with "The French Connection" subtitle option does not appear. All I get is "Theatre View" or Full Screen.

Thank you Astridnova, that was a brilliant film. I bought Sally's 'Could it Be B12 ' book and it was eye opening all the way through, everyone should be reading it as it can save lives.

Yes, I bought the book too. Great book, great nurse! Hard for a nurse or doctor to be independent and to honour principles now, because we have a corporate managed system that preferences profits over science. I think the whole education system is being dumbed down.
