Hi Maypole66. Try these (the Versandapo link will take you directly to 100 x 1mg hydroxocobalamin - but they also supply in 10's):

medisave.co.uk/b-d-microlan... (green needles for drawing up)

medisave.co.uk/b-d-2ml-plas... (better to use 2ml syringes - easier to draw up B12 'cause more room in syringe)

medisave.co.uk/sharpsguard-... (for safe needle disposal)

versandapo.de/article/detai.... (this is for 100 ampoules (long expiry dates) but also available in 10's. PayPal - available and quick delivery)

Good luck 👍

I have been using exactly the ampoules depicted on the versandpo website for a while now Foggyme and find they are just as effective as the ones I get from our UK pharmacy. They do seem to snap off much easier as well.

Mine came by personal courier though, sadly, he finishes his final year at our local university next May so I am going to have to make alternative arrangements, or pay the postage.

Excellent news kcbreks. I buy 100 at at time to cut down on costs...and find p & p from Versansapa reasonable.

👍

Mine are rental for our very comfortable couch most weekends, and airport taxi Foggyme. There are more or less annual visits by my son and the students dad as they have been like brothers for 30 years now, so I am hoping while ever I need I can get a pack somehow. I am actually flying over next April for a much requested visit and then coming back by car with his grandparents who are coming to retrieve all of his various belongings from around our lofts and cupboards.

Hopefully our 30 year personal European Union will not get disrupted by the nonsense emanating from Westminster and we will not become 'drug' smugglers.

Yay to that kcbrecks.

Sounds like you've forged your own wonderful EU and been a brilliant more than friend...and bonds like that are not easily broken 😀.

And yes, here's hoping that we don't all have to resort to 'smuggling'...and all for a life-giving vitamin. But we're resourceful, so will find a way. Whatever 🙄.

Hope you have a wonderful trip in April.

Take care 😉.

May seem like a strange answer but have you asked your GP? Mine are happy to prescribe mine and as I order them on line the GP just signs my prescriptions whenever I request more

Penni not going to waste my time. I have fought for so long to get a " trial loading dose " she would not do it.

Hi just ordered B12 ampoules from mycare. 25.92€ plus postage 17€ found that quite expensive considering the cheapness of everything else. Still if I feel better it will be worth it 😊

Yes, unfortunate that the postage is quite expensive (I order 100 ampules at a time - with same postage I think ?) but then it's still cheaper than sublinguals and more effective for neurological symptoms 🙂 Personally, found it worth it for ease of ordering and to avoid stress and battle fatigue with yet another GP!

Recovery can be a slow process depending how long you've been deficient and I definitely find stress or overdoing things when energy finally comes back can set you back.

I hope all goes really well for you maypole

Maypole...there have been very rare cases of B12 injections causing anaphylactic shock (a life-threatening condition), so it’s important that your first injection is done under medical supervision...or in a location where medical attention and medical equipment is immediately available.

Also - there are certain conditions where vitamin B12 injections have to be used with caution.

Here's a link to further information...best to have a read before you embark on self-injection:

Good luck 👍

Thankyou Foggyme. My friend is a Nurse, I was going to ask her to supervise me on first injection. I am going to start of weekly. But will wait until I have my 3 monthly one in Dec
