Further Results - Help Need

Dear All,

Need your advice please - Mum is 87 and weak - She has been diagnosed with anaemia - also has lung cancer - stage 2 - this is not the cause for her weakness - has been identified.

I recently got her tested for MMA - Previous post by Clive

Need your help - clearly shows she is not absorbing the nutrients in her system. Also she is on Eprex 10,000 units every friday helps make red blood cells.

have you uploaded the right picture? this is full blood count and doesn't give any information on vitamins and minerals.?

from the above any iron anaemia would seem to have been dealt with

also, if you are in Australia you can actually get injectable B12 over the counter but I would still advise that you confirm that your mother has a B12 absorption problem before you do this.

Is your mother on any drugs that interfere with folate/B12 - some of the chemotherapy drugs do
