I have been taking 2 tablets at 11am every day for well over a year maybe even 2, and my GP has increased this to 3 tablets now.
I have Hashimoto's and take my meds for that at 6am and other supplements at lunch and then after tea time.
I've read that Iron should be spread out throughout the day yet it's impossible for me. I take my Iron with orange juice and pop Vit C powder in for better absorption.
I've decided today to take all 3 tablets at once and just wondered why you can't do that? I'm at home today so at least if I need to run to the loo as a result it's okay
I've take my Iron an hour before food but I've now read you cant have a cuppa an hour before Iron....? Is This that true?
Does anyone else that their Iron tablets all at once?
Thanks

I always took them when I was on two at a time but I'm not saying that's the right thing to do.
Do you know what your Folate level is?
There is a complex interaction between folic acid, vitamin B12 and iron. A deficiency of one may be "masked" by excess of another so the three must always be in balance. Folic acid works closely with vitamin B12 in making red blood cells and helps iron function properly in the body.
I checked my folate about 2 years and that was fine be but my B12 was only about 200 so I've since been taking basic b complex and methyl b12 every day. My GP done a full blood count and Ferritin check last week and my FC was fine but my Ferritin was 24
