You could try more injections and supporting supplements to go with them - a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement plus extra folate, potassium and magnesium, maybe iron, along with a full range of amino acids.

If your body needs something, it needs it.

Some people need as much as 2 injections per day for years to be well.

If you are so short of something that you are getting symptoms then you are likely to be sustaining damage from the deficiencies and the only way to improve things is to provide plenty of a good balance of what your body needs unless you can cure the reason for the malabsorption / poor assimilation.

Have you spoken to your GP? If the return of the fog is something that you hadn't experienced before on the 8 weekly injections it would suggest that it isn't B12 that is the problem.

if you have PA or another absorption problem that leads to B12 deficiency that can lead to problems with other vitamins and minerals - this would include folate and iron, both of which would cause symptoms similar to those of B12.

There is also a considerable overlap with thyroid symptoms.

Most likely you need more B12.

I had good results with weekly B12 injections and 400ug Folic Acid daily. You can't really overdose on B12 injections as you're body gets rid of the excess as the injections are water based.

Also make sure you're iron levels are good (but too much intake of iron supplement is no good).

A broad spectrum of multivitamin and minerals tablet is good to add.

But I still think you need more frequent B12 injections. I noticed improvement after about 12 injections (12 weeks).

You can try weekly until your symptoms improve and then adjust to less frequent or carry on with 1 weekly for 2-3 months and then reduce to 1 in 2 weeks or 1 monthly.

I've heard of magnesium and potassium helping but haven't personally tried it yet.

I added high dose Iron tablets which gave me horrible side effects.

I'm not a doctor so please always get advice from your doctor first.

Hope this helps.
