Do we all share the experience of fatigue/brain fog?
If so Is the fatigue/brain fog the result of our neurological system adjusting as best it can to not having some vitamins and essential minerals available at the cellular level?
Is the fatigue/brain fog progressive over time but not linear in that it is more acute at some times?
Is the fatigue/brain fog always present in different degrees?
Do we all adjust our lives and thinking due to experiencing fatigue/brain fog?
Do we all try and do what we can to mitigate and avoid fatigue/brain fog?
Is the only current treatment for fatigue/brain fog supplement and the act healthy methodology hoping it goes away?.
Don't worry about my ego. I am very ok with being told I am off base. I am used to it

Great description of zoning out - apparently this is my most obvious telltale to others that my jab is due and I also lose colour. Currently more often than not about 10 hours or less before an injection is due.
Wizard, for me fatigue and brain fog feel different - fatigue, I tend to be more aware of feels physical and mentally combined. It is easier to deal with after a jab. I can suffer fatigue as a result of too much physical activity or mental activity and it’s far far worse when I have physically and mentally overdone it. When too fatigued I need and want to lie down. 🛌
Whereas brain fog 😶🌫️happens most of the time but to varying degrees. My family and I laugh as I have developed a habit or “conducting” in the air as I try to grasp the word I am looking for - as if I am trying to conjure it up! 🪄 And when I am standing staring in to the fridge wondering why I am looking in the fridge, I am gently teased that “ I have already eaten the chocolate!” (Although there wasn’t ever any!) 😂
What I have noticed is that I used to be good and quick at mental maths - now there is nothing. I can’t even begin simple stuff like 91 - 64 - I can do it mentally eventually but it takes me so long and even then I am not confident in the answer.
I do a game on my phone called Elevate its mental maths and English kind of stuff and I find that helps - I used always to be at a high performance level now it fluctuates wildly but is useful to see how real the symptoms are.
Like Nackpan I think I would prefer a constant B12 drip dose rather than these step changes but my body is getting used to the injections now as I don’t seem to have as low lows and my highs are creeping upwards.
Great question and I think your ego is lovely by the way 😂
Thank you for your reply. I have thought about it and fatigue and brain fog may be different but for me they occur at the same time. It was helpful for me to understand neither are caused by being tired as rest and sleep have little affect.
I am now using being annoyed as a early warning sign. Being annoyed being different than getting annoyed as it is physical and not related to an experience. I might be writing with a pencil and it needs to be sharpened. First I put it off when normally I might do it without thinking or take a short mental break. If that does not happen and I am annoyed because I have to sharpen a pencil I see it as a early warning sign. Pretty much if anything bothers me that usually would not I am aware of it.
I juggle, solve the Rubix cube, play freecell on my phone to work my brain as the outcome is not important. I also do big piece 250 jigsaw puzzles. I have three puzzles that I rotate doing. I am going to order two more as I have the three all but memorized. 😀 I am hoping that I heal to the point I can draw again. Perhaps I should buy a coloring book.
I see where you are coming from now - I get annoyed too more than I used to and I think it’s frustration that I only have so much oomph and I want to use it best I can.
>>I do believe at tines I'd be better on a drip of b12
Currently I am coming as close as I can to a drip I am administering B12 4 times a day. .50 sublingual Hydroxocobalamin and 2mg sublingual Methylcobalamin with Adenosylcobalamin. I administer SL or SC as is convenient for me.
Terrible fatigue, terrible brain fog, as I keep telling people you know that thing where you walk into a room and go "what did I come in here for?" well live like that all day long, can't remember anything!
Umpteen times online I've opened a new tab to check something and can't remember what I wanted to check, I never seem to know what day of the week it is, I go shopping and come home without half the stuff I wanted - even if I take a list I forget to look at it!
This has, all of it, certainly improved over time, but also I have developed avoidance techniques.
I try to have a day off once a week, alone and never minding if I get lost on my wanderings or worry about how long something is taking me. A long aimless walk alone can be a relief - no need to think at all.
As for looking in the fridge, that actually seems quite sensible, as almost everything I can't find is there - and I'm never sure how/why !
The annoyance thing is usually a good indicator that I've forgotten it's injection day. Always things that would ordinarily not bother me. At least now I am aware that yes, it is me not them.
As for coming home without shopping on the list, I once came home without my partner !
Homocysteine accumulates if a person is lacking in vitamin B6, folate or B12 and, to a lesser extent, the mineral zinc. This happens because these nutrients are required for a vital process called ‘methylation’ which, among other things, is essential to build brain cells. There are a billion methylation reactions every few seconds.
In this study the level of Hcy, above 9.5 µmol/L, correlated with accelerated brain shrinkage and cognitive decline.
Both high homocysteine (Hcy) levels, and low folic and B12 levels in blood correlate with increasing risk for AD according to a systematic review
